If You Have No traffic You Don't Have a Business

The most common reason new online marketers visit my website is to discover how get traffic to their websites. They know that if you have no traffic you don’t have a business. Traffic is a never ending headache for beginners and the experienced online marketers alike.

Why?

Because without traffic you don’t have a business!

Even though experienced marketers often know many of the answers, they are always on the lookout for new tips, or tricks which may place their website or blog ahead of their competitors.

Beginners on the other hand come to the rude awakening that, without traffic, their newly minted website is going nowhere.

Yet so often I hear that traffic is not the problem. The problem they say is not having engaging content, not having a killer headline, not having unique tips for your readers.

In other words, you don’t have a traffic problem, you have a communications problem, or a conversion problem.

That’s all well and good, but most beginners struggling to get people to read their articles or blog posts in the first place.

If you are a beginner and have no visitors, you can’t get conversions, and you can’t get any sales.

How to Get People to Read Your Content

So I come back to how to get people to read your content in the first place.
At the most basic level, you have to remember that people come to your website, or your content wherever it might be, in search of an answer to a specific problem.

If you can provide the answer, you gained a reader. If that reader is satisfied with your solution, you gained a follower. And most likely, that follower will eventually become a customer.

If you manage to provide the answer to the specific problem your beginner visitors have, your solution will jump right off the page and grab the undivided attention of those struggling with the issue.

You have to put in the time to identify the real problem your beginner readers have. Then you must present your solution in an engaging manner to be sure your solution sinks in.

Writing blog posts that attract people who are in need of what you offer is a huge part of the battle. But it begins with identifying the basic problems beginners are struggling with.

If the problem is traffic, you have one of two options to offer: free or paid traffic.

They both work. In online marketing you have two basic situations.
If you have lots of time, you can do just about everything online for free, including traffic generation.

But if you are short on time but have plenty of money, you can buy the advertising you need to generate lots of traffic to your website or your squeeze page.
